Join us at the Calgary Renovation Show, Jan 10-12 for an exciting lineup of fun, hands-on creative workshops that’ll add a splash of creativity and fun to your visit!
Stop by Dots & Lines’ booth—a creative space where you can join guided art workshops with local artists, explore your creativity, learn new artistic skills, and leave the Show with a unique piece of artwork created by you!

- Sunday, Jan 12: Calligraphy Workshop (Coming Up Next!)
Experience Calligraphy, a unique and inclusive art form that combines the meditative flow of calligraphy with the therapeutic benefits of creative expression. Led by Yan Li, your instructor, this workshop will introduce you to the artistry of Chinese calligraphy. You’ll learn the graceful rhythmic strokes of this expressive writing style while creating a painting of Chinese characters or zodiac signs, uncovering the depth and cultural richness of Chinese traditions.
Session Length: 1 hour
1st Session: 12PM – 1PM; 2nd Session: 2PM – 3PM
Who should attend: These workshops are perfect for all ages and are family-friendly, making them ideal for anyone interested in learning a new artistic skill and exploring creativity. No prior artistic experience is necessary—just bring your willingness to learn and have fun! If you’re attending with a young child, we kindly ask that you provide proper supervision during the session.
