During this workshop, Yan, your instructor, will introduce you to the unique artistry of Chinese calligraphy. She will guide you through the rhythmic strokes of this expressive writing style, leading you to create a painting of Chinese characters or zodiac signs that unveils the rich layers of Chinese culture, where each stroke transcends mere symbolism; it becomes a breath, a movement, a moment of tranquility.

About the artist: Yan’s artistic journey traces back to her childhood in China. Born in the year of the rabbit according to Chinese astrology, Yan is known for her kind-hearted, sensitive, creative, and artistic nature. Raised in a harmonious and balanced family atmosphere, she was the only child, an enthusiastic learner with an insatiable thirst for knowledge, finding solace in painting her discoveries on paper. Today, Yan channels her unique upbringing into art that reflects creativity, cultural richness, and mindfulness. Her works invite you on a journey where each stroke tells a story, echoing the influences of her parents and the spirit of her rabbit self.
