Slow down, get creative, and enjoy a hands-on art experience where you design, cast, and paint your very own dot art stone. This 2-session workshop series guides you through every step — from moulding to painting to a polished, finished piece you’ll be proud to take home. Each session is 2 hours, giving you plenty of time to immerse yourself in the process.
- In Session 1: You’ll select your favorite mould from five unique designs, learn to mix and pour casting material, and prepare your piece for professional curing over two weeks.
- In Session 2 (2 weeks later): You’ll bring your stone to life with guided dot painting techniques and seal it for a smooth, lasting finish.

Whether you’re new to art or simply enjoy hands-on creative activities, it’s a wonderful way to try something new and create a unique handmade piece. All materials are included — casting supplies, moulds, paints, and sealant. By the end of the series, you’ll take home a unique handcrafted stone that reflects your creativity and personal style.

About the artist: Silvia Pinto, an accomplished instructor and accredited visual artist based in Calgary, has a deep-rooted passion for creativity and a commitment to empowering others. Silvia’s journey in the arts has led her to become a dedicated teacher. Her love for crafting sparked her passion for teaching, inspiring her to master various craft media including paper quilling, cardmaking, art journaling, mixed media, and more. With over a decade of experience as a program facilitator, Silvia has honed her skills in guiding individuals of all ages to embrace their creativity and unlock their artistic potential.
