Introduction to Pottery: Six-Week Series





Get comfortable with clay and discover the joy of making with your hands.
Level: beginner
Ages: 15 and up
Whether you’re completely new to pottery or looking to reconnect with your creativity, this welcoming six-week series is a great place to start. With guided instruction and plenty of hands-on practice, you’ll learn the fundamentals of ceramics while creating pieces that are uniquely your own.
Across the six sessions, you’ll explore wheel throwing, handbuilding, trimming, surface design and glazing, with support along the way to help you build confidence and develop your skills. The small-group setting allows for personalized guidance while still giving you plenty of room to experiment and find your own creative style.

Weekly, from September 19–October 31 | Saturdays, 10:00 AM–12:15 PM
*No class on October 10
And there’s more time to play with clay! Up to four hours of Open Studio time each week gives you the opportunity to practice techniques, continue working on projects and get more comfortable in the studio between classes.

Who This Is For
Recommended for ages 15 and up. No previous pottery experience is needed—just come ready to learn, experiment, and get a little clayey!

Specializing in pottery, hand-building, and nature-inspired mixed media, she offers thoughtfully guided sessions designed to help participants unwind, explore new skills, and leave with meaningful pieces they can be proud of.
