Discover Kinusaiga, traditional Japanese fabric art.

Level: beginner
Ages: 12 and up

Kinusaiga is a traditional Japanese art form where colorful fabrics are tucked into a pre-designed template to create a beautiful, textured piece, no needle, thread, or painting required, just fabric, pattern, and a steady hand. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn the technique piece by piece as your fabric collage comes to life within its frame.

Fabric Painting

All materials and tools are provided, along with step-by-step guidance the whole way through. Choose from a selection of beautiful fabrics to make your piece your own, and enjoy a relaxing, creative afternoon that’s just as suited to first-timers as it is to experienced crafters. Leave with a framed piece of fabric art you made yourself.

Who This Is For

Anyone 12 and up looking for a relaxing, hands-on creative afternoon. No prior art experience needed. Just show up ready to slow down, focus, and make something beautiful.
