Festive Paint & Sip: Watercolor Immersion
Are you fascinated by the fluid beauty of watercolor painting? Join Marina for a 2 hour journey of creativity! This hands-on workshop is designed for everyone, particularly beginners eager to dive into the world of watercolors.
Under Marina’s guidance, you’ll learn the fundamentals of watercolor painting, from mastering the flat wash to exploring advanced techniques like wet-on-wet blending. Discover how to mix and apply paints effectively, layer colors for depth and dimension, and create realistic natural features such as clouds, mist, and snow.
Together, we will create a landscape piece that you can either choose to follow exactly or deviate from to create a unique art piece. Marina will provide suggestions regarding how much water to mix with your paints, which brushes to use, how and where you should begin your painting, when to let layers dry, and how to avoid making your painting look “muddy” (a common watercolor roadblock).
At the heart of this workshop is the belief that there’s no “right” way to paint. Marina encourages you to embrace experimentation and discover your unique artistic style. With her support, you’ll gain confidence in your abilities and emerge from the workshop inspired to continue your watercolor journey.
