Kids’ Sketch & Watercolor (Ages 5+)

Kui invites children and youth into his private home studio for a small, hands-on class in sketching, watercolor, and more.
Level: beginner and up
Ages: 5 and up
Kui’s art class gives young artists of every experience level a chance to create and appreciate visual art in a warm, welcoming setting — think private lessons, but in a small group. As Kui moves around the room, he’ll help you master new techniques and bring your project to life, offering individually focused guidance in sketching, watercolor, oil painting, gouache, acrylic, black & white, and portrait work. With a maximum of four students per class, every session comes with genuinely tailored feedback and instruction — a great way to learn, create, and grow as an artist.

Students in Kui’s class (max 4 person) are given individually focused instructions on sketching, watercolor, oil painting, guash, acrylic, black-white and portrait. Small class sizes ensures tailored feedback and instruction.

About The Artist
Kui is a professional artist and an experienced art teacher based in Calgary Canada, whose works have been widely exhibited on a national level, as well as in his native country China. Relationships between people, and between humans and nature have always fascinated him. Kui is passionate about portraying these themes using lines and colors in various media. Through water-based painting materials, he masters time, moisture, and shades of colors in his expressive pieces. In addition, he also employs traditional Chinese calligraphy techniques through oil.
Kui’s class is scheduled monthly. To find alternative dates, browse [here].
