Calling all sweet treat lovers! Spend a delightful 3 hours at this hands-on Frosting Affair: Cookie & Cupcake Workshop, proudly hosted by La Savour Patisserie at the welcoming YW Community Hub. Whether you’re a baking beginner or a seasoned pro, get ready for a fun-filled session where you’ll learn, create, and indulge in deliciousness!
What to expect:
- A Warm Welcome: Meet your host, grab your apron, and enjoy a cup of coffee. All tools and materials are provided. Just bring your eagerness to learn and your sweet tooth!
- Cookie Baking Basics: Learn the essential techniques for mixing, rolling, and baking delicious cookies
- Cupcake Piping: Discover how to create buttercream swirls, rosettes, and textured designs, topped with festive sprinkles.
- Royal Icing: Practice outlining, flooding, and adding intricate details to cookies using professional icing techniques and tools.
- Sweet Rewards: Take home your beautifully decorated (and delicious!) treats, along with a recipe booklet to recreate at home!

This experience is open to everyone! However, participants under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who will be responsible for their supervision during the event.

About the baker: Ekta Patel is a self-taught baker who creates elegant and artistic edible creations. Inspired by the rich patisserie traditions of Belgium and France, where she grew up, Ekta brings a touch of European finesse to every bake. Operating a home-based bakery in Calgary, she specializes in making special moments unforgettable. Ekta also offers workshops where you can learn the art of decorating cookies, cupcakes, and cakes—where imagination meets frosting!
