The Alberta Porcelain Artists Calgary (APAC) is a local guild dedicated to preserving and sharing the craft of porcelain painting. Founded nearly five decades ago, APAC includes artists ranging from lifelong painters to enthusiastic newcomers. Through workshops and community outreach, the group promotes this delicate, expressive art form and invites everyone to discover its beauty.

Danae Gibbons is a passionate macramé artist, mom, and creative entrepreneur. With three years of experience designing and crafting intricate macramé pieces, her work can be found online @knotted_by_design and at local markets throughout the summer and holiday season. Inspired by nature and her love for family, Danae infuses warmth, artistry, and a personal touch into every creation. For her, macramé is more than just an art form—it’s a relaxing and fulfilling creative outlet that she’s excited to share with others.

Ekta Patel is a self-taught baker who creates elegant and artistic edible creations. Inspired by the rich patisserie traditions of Belgium and France, where she grew up, Ekta brings a touch of European finesse to every bake. Operating a home-based bakery in Calgary, she specializes in making special moments unforgettable. Ekta also offers workshops where you can learn the art of decorating cookies, cupcakes, and cakes—where imagination meets frosting!

Fatima is a self-taught painter, an ESL teacher by the day, a small business owner by the night and an artist at all times. She loves colors and paint in anything and everything, from earrings to furniture. She loves the versatility of acrylic paints and enjoy making statement pieces, be it on canvas or crafts.

Fatima hosts various fun and one-of-a-kind art & craft workshops such as Paint Wooden Slice, Paint Terracotta Pots, Create Personalized Ornaments and more, that have been attended and loved by many.

Karine Nazaryan, originally from Armenia and presently residing in Calgary, is an experienced florist, and a talented artist specialized in various medium including paper art. After having moved to Canada, Karine has continued her art journey. At first, she made portraits of acquaintances and friends, then she began to make small exhibitions and one of them took place in the downtown Central Library in Calgary. Karine wishes to share her skills and creativity so that people can also see, try and fall in love with the arts she is passionate about.

Kitty Rain is a self-taught artist known for her emotive representations of animals. Born in Guadalajara and now living in Calgary, she combines a background in psychology with her art, viewing her creative process as a therapeutic way to express deep, unspoken feelings. Kitty has shared her skills through art classes for several years, primarily teaching children and teens.

Kui is a professional artist and an experienced art teacher based in Calgary Canada, whose works have been widely exhibited on a national level, as well as in his native country China. Relationships between people, and between humans and nature have always fascinated him.

Kui is passionate about portraying these themes using lines and colors in various media. Through water-based painting materials, he masters time, moisture, and shades of colors in his expressive pieces. In addition, he also employs traditional Chinese calligraphy techniques through oil. Kui’s art class offers opportunity for art lovers of all ages to create and appreciate visual art in a safe and fun environment.

Lili Yas Tayefi is an Iranian-Canadian designer and interdisciplinary artist based in Calgary. Her practice bridges traditional ceramics with contemporary design, exploring the tactile language of clay through sculptural and architectural forms. As an educator, she encourages intuitive, hands-on learning—inviting participants to connect deeply with material, process, and form while embracing the unexpected transformations of clay.

Marina Moreland, a passionate watercolor artist based in Calgary, has a deep appreciation for the outdoors that infuses her creations. Self-taught and driven by a relentless curiosity, Marina has honed her craft through dedicated research, practice, and exploration of her own artistic voice. The result is a unique style that diverges from traditional watercolors, offering a fresh and dynamic perspective on the natural world. Most of her work focuses on nature - landscapes, florals, moths, poisonous plants, and mountain peaks are some of her favorite subjects. You can expect bright colors, tiny details, and occasionally a cheeky twist.

Palak Dhorajiya is a self-taught artist who reignited her passion for creativity during the pandemic. Originally from India, she balanced art with her studies. After moving to Calgary for a career in Interior Design, she temporarily set aside her artistic pursuits. However, discovering alcohol inks during the pandemic reignited her love for creating. Inspired by her mother and art tutor, she began crafting original pieces and teaching others. Palak offers custom artwork and art classes, providing a creative space to transform ideas into beautiful art.

Patrick is a multidisciplinary artist exploring the intersections of animation, painting, coding, filmmaking, and storytelling. At the heart of his creative approach are two key elements: play and stories. His process often begins with lighthearted ideas that evolve into deeply meaningful reflections, using art as a tool to engage, connect, and inspire. As he continues to develop his practice, Patrick seeks to blend interactivity with traditional and digital mediums, crafting self-reflective experiences that make art more accessible to everyone.

Ruby Martin is a talented Plant Artist, Textile Dyer, and Gardener. Her passion for creating with nature began with the discovery of the ancient art of natural fabric dyeing and textile design. With several years of experience in the art and wellness communities, Ruby loves to teach traditional skills and crafts, understanding deeply how creativity and well-being intertwine. Her mission is to inspire self-care, empowerment, and creativity in your life through the beauty of natural art.

Silvia Pinto is an accredited visual artist, an arts and crafts facilitator, and the owner of The Greenwood Hub Art Studio based in Calgary. With 14+ years of experience as facilitator and full-time role in disabilities rehabilitation, Silvia creates a creative haven where people of all ages celebrate daily gifts of creativity. Serving a diverse community, she offers skills and expertise to individuals with varying abilities and backgrounds, aiming to make a meaningful difference in their lives and the community.

Sneha Kandhari, a Mandala artist, has a passion for promoting creative expression through mindful Mandalas and sharing her art to help others heal the inner child & anxiety. Earlier years of hectic corporate life had Sneha feeling creatively unfulfilled and disconnected from her inner core. The heightened chaos of the pandemic brought art back into her life in the form of Mandalas, which became her vehicle to process the heavy emotions, overcome the anxiety, stress and uncertainty faced during and post-pandemic. Sneha vowed to spread the healing effects to others, make an impact and facilitate creative expression in others through this calming art therapy.

Todd Lachance is a representational artist based in Calgary, Alberta, specializing in landscape, figure, and portraiture. Inspired by the masters of light and color, he paints primarily en plein air to capture the raw essence of his subjects. Todd is the founder of the non-profit Plein Air MD Ltd., which supports first responders through art and nature therapy. He is proudly represented by Mountain Galleries across Canada.

Vasudha Sekhri, a former professional designer now thriving as a full-time artist, excels in mixed media. Yan's artistic journey traces back to her childhood in China. Born in the year of the rabbit according to Chinese astrology, Yan is known for her kind-hearted, sensitive, creative, and artistic nature. Raised in a harmonious and balanced family atmosphere, she was the only child, an enthusiastic learner with an insatiable thirst for knowledge, finding solace in painting her discoveries on paper. Today, Yan channels her unique upbringing into art that reflects creativity, cultural richness, and mindfulness. Her works invite you on a journey where each stroke tells a story, echoing the influences of her parents and the spirit of her rabbit self.

Yiting Hui is a nature-inspired artist and storyteller passionate about uncovering the enchanting magic found in everyday beauty. She earned her Master's degree in Architecture from McGill University, and has since embarked on a dual path as both an Architectural Designer and a dedicated artist. By combining her design sensitivity with her passion for art and illustration, she has earned recognition for her art and mural commissions, as well as her participation in public art projects across Alberta. Yiting's art exudes whimsical charm and a sense of illusion. The quiet competence and tranquil power of nature are her greatest inspirations.
